Firefox 5 only opens to "Offline Mode" and I can't figure out why or how to change it

After I uploaded the new Firefox 5, it now doesn't go online at all. I get the "Offline Mode" page. I can't find where I can switch it online or what's blocking it from going online. I deleted every other version of Firefox and still nothing... Help?

If you go to Options ->Advanced->Network and look at how fire fox thinks its supposed to connect, it might be trying to use dial up or use a network resource that is not your internet connection. Thats where I would start.

No change. Still offline. I switched to all of them and checked.

I looked at that but I don't understand what "proxy" is let alone what one my internet is using. I know it's not dial-up and it's not on a "network." I have a Time Warner cable internet hookup with wireless router.
