I am trying to update my yahoo messenger and it wont let me it comes up with an error that says a network error was encountered then ask if I want to Retry or cancel. I hit Retry and it goes back to that MSG Please help Thank You Tammy Holloway

Update Firefox then check to see that your plug-ins are up-to-date:

  https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/

Also test your Flash player on Adobe's website and confirm the version (please check using each browser, if you have, say, IE & Firefox installed)

   http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Check also that your add-ons are up-to-date, from Firefox's menu bar:

     Tools > Add-ons

I found out that during the installation process you have to choose the bullet/option that states something about the add-on (I believe it is the second bullet you can choose) that will install Messenger.
