Firefox crashes immediately upon launch. This occurs whether or not Safe Mode is invoked when launching.

Firefox initially crashed a while after the 8.0 update was downloaded (but before I had restarted to apply the update). Since then, it crashes immediately upon startup.

I uninstalled Firefox, downloaded the 8.0 version from the website, and did a fresh install. This did not seem to make any difference.

Chosen solution

Probably due to using Roboform, try updating that software, or uninstalling it. Please post back with how you get on.

The problem was absolutely with RoboForm (I had Version 7.5.5). Exiting RoboForm allowed Firefox to launch. I will update RoboForm... it has not typically handled Firefox updates well, but this is by far the worst.
