I am attempting to upgrade my Adobe Flash Plugin and I cannot perform the upgrade because the dialog box tells me to close Firefox. I close Firefox and the process keeps telling me that it cannot perform the upgrade until I close Firefox Firefox is closed! Not sure what else I can do.

If you have the Flash installer already downloaded, restart your computer, then try running the Flash installer. then try to start firefox up and upgrade to Firefox 11. Does that work? Usually problems like this are caused by a bad extension, so if that works we can diagnose your extensions.

Also - this occurs even though I have closed Firefox AND killed the Firefox.exe process in Task Manager AND ensured that on the Applications Tab in Task Manager that there are NO other instances of Firefox that are running.
