why does the first half inch of browzer screen remain inoperative. cannot click on and operate features

any screen which has an operable function within1.25cm from the top of the browser window is inoperable. meaning that I cannot log on or select any other function

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon like an outdated toolbar is interfering here...

By trial and error I found that the Yahoo toolbar was the cause of the problem. All now working fine
