Cannot copy file signons.sqlite. Access is denied.

When our users login in a Citrix enviroment we copy the profiles from the file server to the local user path on the citrix server.

This just started happening in the last 30 days or so. Our users get the error of "Cannot copy file signons.sqlite. Access is denied" when the profile copy process hits this file

Did you check the permissions of this file and possibly other files in the Firefox profile folder?

Try to repair the disk permissions:

I assume that this still happens when Firefox isn't running?

Another possibility is that other (security) software is somehow locking the file.

Yes we did check the security on this file and we can rename it no problems, if we rename it the users can log back in ok and the copy process works but of course they lose the saved passwords.

Is this the only file that causes problems?

Note that you always need the key3.db file as well to be able to access the passwords.

Did you try a new profile?

The only file and we just rename it and they can log in, we just want to find out why it does not let us access it so we can fix it as we have 300 users and having to do this for five or six users every other week is terrible

Can you copy the file manually (i.e. is this only happening if you some a script file)?

With what privileges does this script run?

more options

We cannot copy manually at that point of access denied we have added permissions and taken owner ship but still cannot copy, so we rename it and then when the user logs in a script runs and once they are in citrix it works then they add passwords and may not have an issue for up to a week or so, then it happens again.
