This website is the one and only Official Mozilla support channel, there is no other website that provides official support nor do we ever charge for support. You should try the following:

Pop-up blocker settings, exceptions and troubleshooting

Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

Often remote tech support involves visiting a website that uses a Java applet or other bit of code to temporarily share your screen with the support company. In that case, you haven't given them permanent access to your computer.

You also might have used a temporary desktop sharing feature that doesn't require you to give out your password or generated only a temporary password. In that case, you should be fine.

However, if they had you install an add-on, you should remove it as you will no longer need it. You can use the Add-ons page to disable nonessential or unrecognized add-ons:

Tools menu > Add-ons > in the left column, click Plugins
Tools menu > Add-ons > in the left column, click Extensions

Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Most plugins and some extensions can't be removed from the Add-ons page because they are installed outside of Firefox's folders. If there are any that trouble you, please post back with details on those.

Also, if they asked for any passwords or had you reset any passwords to defaults, whether on your computer, your router, or any account, you should change those now in case the company doesn't do a good job keeping those secret and disposing of them.
