This program is unusable. It takes over a minute to go from one email to another. May take up to a minute to delete an email, move to a folder. etc. I keep getting the spinning circle. I tried opening in safe mode, without add-ons. No difference. I just want to read the mails I want and get a different program. I've spent 3 hours going through some mail and haven't gotten to all I want. I have to stop as I'm wasting the entire day. This is on an 8 core PC with 16G RAM. My laptop with windows Live goes through the same mail much faster. both are Win7.

that sounds like what we have come to expect as normal behavior for those with McAfee installed. Could you also be a victim of McAfee?

McAfee is on the PC. It is also on my laptop which has Windows Live mail where there is no such problem. So the problem is specific to Thunderbird. What is it about it that makes it alone almost unusable.

This link info is not clear. It doesn't seem to distinguish where changes are to be made. McAfee Anti-Spam Thunderbird Extension is in Thunderbird and already disabled. Uncheck Email attachments under Real Time Scanning: can't find where this is.

Can't find any info on McAfee site about how to contact them, only to buy software.
