I have three ICS (Network) calendars in Lightning. All have off line support checked in settings. Yesterday I opened TB and Lightning to find all the events I had entered were gone (There were there for a split second then it refreshed).

My online calendars are in the "Horde" email/Pim system provided by my web host.

I have tried several tests and turned off the auto refresh function (A fix suggested by another article), however the entries created in Lightning disappear spontaneously. However those events I create in the online version of the calendar persist. So it would seem they never actually get uploaded (Synced) to the online master calendar.

I am using ICS as the method of access to the online master calendar.

Any help in fixing this would be much appreciated otherwise I will have to remove lighting and find an alternate.

Regards

Adam

ICS is a file format and not really suitable for a network calendar. Apple can not make anything more than read only work on their Ical calendars and for read write recommend CalDav. Perhaps horde has a similar issue.

I notice from their web site that they support CalDav. That is a networked calendar protocol designed that way from the ground up.

This appears to be instruction on how to locate the caldav URL in Horde, but knowing nothing of the product I really do not know. http://wiki.horde.org/CalDAV

Hi Matt

Thank you very much for your helpful reply.

I am only offered an ICS URL on my Horde settings. I see from the Wiki that as you say, "Horde" is supposed to support CalDev so I will contact my host and see if they can provide me with a CalDev URL for my calendars.

As an update, I am told by my hosting company that although "Horde" does support CalDev, The "H-Sphere" control panel interface they use for Horde does not offer CalDev support. So unfortunately I will have to go back to using Google calendars.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Cheers

Adam
