Current version of Thunderbird. This started happening about 3 or 4 months ago. Email is downloaded. Next time email is downloaded, the same messages are again downloaded, with new additions. Next time, the same is done. I sometimes have 4 or more repeated downloads of the same emails. How do I tell Thunderbird to not repeat downloading messages it has already retrieved?

I feel like I am regurgitating the same info over and over today.

Disable email scanning in your anti virus program and do not re-enable it until you get a version that allows the complete download to occur before it chops the connection off. The very last thing in a mail download is the "where we are at" information. When the connection is chopped off you see what you are. A confused mail client and a cooperative mail server repeatedly regurgitation the same stuff.
