hello, firefox is a webbrowser and not designed to open other desktop applications. maybe you can pin the outlook shortcut onto your windows task bar so that you'll have it handy all the time...

Are you talking about creating a shortcut? Place it in the Bookmark Toolbar.

or a icon that can open another program? External Application Buttons 2 {web link} Lightweight add-on to create toolbar buttons that launch various external applications.
