For a long time the Realplayer Downloader performance has been spotty on Firefox. Now, it doesn't seem to work at all -- the "Download this Video" box does not appear where it should on the video frame. I have "upgraded" to "RealTimes" -- the current version of Realplayer -- and that installation came with an updated plugin which popped up where it should in the add-ons list, and it is set to "always activate" but nothing happens when I start a video I wish to download. It works just fine in IE, so I think the software from Realplayer is o.k. and the problem is with the Firefox interface. Any ideas?

Hi

After updating to RealTimes I got this "drop down" tab (see arrow on included screendump) which you have to click and a window should open where you can let RT search for any videos on the page. you can also type in the location of video....... However I have noticed that it can take it's little sweet time for RT to sometimes find a video...........

I hope this helps you..............

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, didn't work. I tried to download a couple of videos that I was able to download with IE and the RealTimes downloader, and the little blue tab did not appear in Firefox (it also did not appear in IE, but I did get the usual "Download This Video" button on the video screen).

Hi, Sorry to hear it didn't work.......... I forgot (sorry 'bout that) to mention that the tab is for Firefox and Chrome only, IE has to settle with the old gray "Download this Video" button.

Another thing I can suggest is that you re-install RealTimes. I had to do it myself before I got it to work. You can find and use the program in your Real folder (Real > RealPlayer > Setup > setup.exe). I did it that way and now it works..........

Good Luck

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for Download Managers. The work very well. There are also download managers that work as a separate program.
