I can’t give the answer to your original question, but you will probably understand that it’s not the intention of Mozilla to make things hard for anyone.

What do you mean? It has completely stopped working? This extension was released in May 2011 and there have been considerable changes to Firefox since that time, so I don't know how extensively it might need to be revised to work in Firefox 40.

That is probably about the Replay button that isn't working in the Live Http Headers extension.

I assume that the developer needs to fix this. I do see an entry in the Browser Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) although I don't know if this is related.
