After first installing Firefox, logging into Ebay was not a problem. I performed an update or something to the computer and have not been able to log into Ebay since. All the other websites that I have bookmarked and passwords saved log in with no problems. I can use Internet Explorer browser and log into Ebay with no problem. I have tried looking thru and applying all the suggestions about clearing cookies and cache, clearing history, forgetting the website, and anything close that I could find. Can someone please help me figure out what I have done to this laptop? Thanks

Hi there,

For your browser please check the following things-

There are some Internet security and privacy applications have features that block cookies. Check the documentation that came with your software or visit the software provider's support site, to see if your application includes a cookie control feature and how you can change those settings.

Remove corrupt cookies file

If you can't log in to websites after removing the cookies associated with it, clearing your Firefox cache, and trying with your extensions and plugins disabled, and have checked security software, you may have a corrupt cookies file in your Firefox profile folder.

This will remove all your stored cookies and essentially log you out of all saved sessions on all websites. Open your profile folder: Click the menu button New Fx Menu , click help and select Troubleshooting Information. The Troubleshooting Information tab will open. Under the Application Basics section, click on Show Folder. A window with your profile files will open. Note: If you are unable to open or use Firefox, follow the instructions in Finding your profile without opening Firefox. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and then click Exit . Delete the cookies.sqlite file and any cookies.sqlite-journal files. Restart Firefox.

Problems with the extensions

Some extensions can cause problems with logging in to websites, like you have a yahoo extension and are unable to log into your yahoo account, try disabling the yahoo extension and try again. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems

Problems with the addons

Some plugins can also cause problems logging in to websites. See the Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems article for instructions on how to determine whether a plugin is causing your problem https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-issues-with-plugins-fix-problems .

Sometimes the site need cookies to work properly

Go to the Firefox drop-down menu. Select Preferences. Click Privacy. Set "Firefox will:" to Use custom settings for history. Check the box next to "Accept cookies from sites" to enable cookies. Click OK.

If all these fails then try resetting your Firefox or reinstall it.

I hope these things will suerly help you out

Cheers
