While Firefox remains my favorite browser, I like to import my Firefox bookmarks into Safari to use with my iPhone. Safari used to make this simple by allowing me to import the bookmarks and passwords directly from Firefox without making me save the Firefox bookmarks in an html file. Now an html file is the only way to import those bookmarks from Firefox into Safari, without the accompanying passwords. Has Safari put some kind of a block on bookmark transfers from Firefox?

I guess you may need to take that up with Safari's support.

We have a help article, but that seems to suggest using the method you mention in your post. That is export as HTML then import in to Safari.

I think the easiest way to get your Firefox bookmarks onto an iPhone is installing Firefox for iOS and using Firefox Sync to transfer your personal data across devices.
