Trying to ask question about the tab center in Test Pilot

I am on this site: https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/c/test-pilot/tab-center, and it wants me to sign in to (or create an account in my case) "Persona" in order to connect so I can ask questions, but on further reading I see that Persona is going away in about 15 days, so it's totally a waste of my time to create an account there. (Of course it would take less time than writing this message, but I need to make my point!) I just created an account in something called "GitHub," which I thought was what was needed to ask a question about something in Test Pilot, but once I got it, I can't figure out why I would want it at all!

So I just kept browsing the questions other people had asked and found that mine had already been asked. I was enjoying (indeed!) reading others' queries and comments when up popped a dialogue box that said something to the effect of "I see you are enjoying this page. Why don't you sign up/sign in?" And once again, I was asked to join Persona.

NUTS!!

Sorry to hear about the confusion.

You are right in saying that we are moving away from Persona, but there are a number of sites that do not have a replacement sign in implemented just yet.

Teams are working on this, but I would urge you to still get involved in such communities as Mozilla Discourse if you wish. It is a great way to give feedback and chances are there will be transitional arrangements for log in details.
