When using the session restore page, you used to be able to use the arrow keys and space bar to quickly scroll through the list of tabs and choose which ones needed to be restored.

This was an efficient way to cut down unused tabs (e.g. when you had 200+).

This functionality seems to have been broken lately.

I am using Firefox 50.1.0

The list doesn't seem to have focus in the current release, so you need to click an item with the mouse. Then using the cursor Up/Dowm key to scroll through the list should work.

  • you can select a specific item in the list on the about:sessionrestore page and use Ctrl+Enter or middle-click or hold Ctrl and left-click this item with the mouse to open the selected item in a new tab.
  • you can additionally press Shift to toggle opening in the background just you can do when you open a link with the mouse
  • you can press Space to toggle the status of the currently selected item on/off

Opening in the background leaves the about:sessionrestore page in the first tab, so you can decide for yourself if you only want to inspect some selected tabs.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response. Your lack of confirmation of the issue made me look elsewhere for the cause.

I've now confirmed it is caused by the Vimperator plugin. Disabling this fixes the keyboard keys on the session restore page.

Thanks
