First Mozilla only approves Extensions for use with Firefox. It remains with the Developer to provide support for their program.

Are you sure you did not just toggle it off ? Copy/paste into a new tab about:addons then press enter What does it say about your AOL ? Is it Legacy ? At page top right the Gear Icon click and update.

Hmm, I thought I replied earlier.

If you cannot live without the AOL Toolbar, you may need to switch to the Extended Support Release of Firefox 52. Next week when Firefox 57 is released, extensions will no longer be able to insert whole toolbars into the user interface area, just one button with a drop-down panel.
