I'm using Thunderbird 60 on both Windows and Mac OS, and I use userChrome.css to change font size and color for folders and emails. The problem is that userChrome.css is working well on windows but I can't make it work on Mac OS High Sierra, the file path is: " Default Profile Folder ( from Troubleshooting Information ) \chrome\userChrome.css " and the code is as follow:

/* set default namespace to XUL */

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul");

  1. folderTree > treechildren {font-size: 16px !important; font-family: Arial!important; }

treechildren:-moz-tree-cell-text(folderNameCol)

{color: blue !important;}

/* Make unread messages red and bold */

treechildren:-moz-tree-cell-text(unread) { font-size: 16px !important; font-family: "Tohama" !important; font-weight: bold !important; color: red !important; }

/* Make read messages green and normal*/

treechildren:-moz-tree-cell-text(read) { font-size: 14px !important; font-family: "Tohama" !important; font-weight: bold !important; color: green !important; }

treechildren:-moz-tree-row { height:24px !important; }

/*treechildren:-moz-tree-cell { height:24px !important; line height: 24px !important; } */

I confirm again this code is working on windows but not working on Mac OS High Sierra, so I'm hoping for a solution for this.

check the file type of the userChrome.css file to make sure that it is a CSS file and not a .txt text file.

what I have noticed:

re : folderTree > treechildren {font-size: 16px !important; font-family: Arial!important; }

I would put a space after 'Arial' so... font-family: Arial !important; }

Note: The section for read mail to be normal....you have set font weight as 'bold'...perhaps you mean 'normal' /* Make read messages green and normal*/ treechildren:-moz-tree-cell-text(read) { font-size: 14px !important; font-family: "Tohama" !important; font-weight: normal !important; color: green !important; }
