As part of my work, I have to check a lot of details on a travel website. Like most travel websites, it has an annoying habit of generating pop-ups every time I search for something. That shouldn't be a problem, because Firefox's pop-up blocker should get rid of them in short order.

Except it doesn't. Every time I look something up on that site, I get a pop-up window with a yellow bar across it saying that Firefox blocked a pop-up. Instead of blocking the pop-up, what it's actually done is block the resort information page that's supposed to load in a new tab. The page I want to see is blocked, while the garbage pop-up is still cluttering up my screen.

Had a look in support articles, but all that tells me is how to allow pop-ups for a particular site, which only half solves the problem. How do I get the useful pages Firefox is somehow mistaking for pop-ups to load and the actual pop-ups to vanish?

Which site is that doing the popups?

Be fair: what do you think my manager would say if I answered that question?
