Cannot save bookmarks directly in a bookmark-folder

Since 2 oder 3 days I cannot more select one of my bookmark-folders to save the bookmark. When I select to save the bookmark this is done dircetly in the basic folder "Lesezeichen-Menü" (bookmark-menu ?) and the window to select the folder or any other place isn't shown. When I then select "Lesezeichen bearbeiten" (Edit bookmark ?) I can select a folder and save the bookmark there. Why didn't open the window whereI can select the folder in the first step as it was until end of year 2020?

(I am german and use the german version of Firefox)

Hi, there is an option in the dropdown for bookmarks to automatically save straight to Other Bookmarks. If you don't want that to happen, you can click the blue star as if to edit, then select the Show editor when saving box. Please see under the heading How do I change the name or location of a bookmark? in Bookmarks in Firefox.
