To save space on my laptop screen I have turned off the bookmarks bar, and use a dropdown bookmarks menu.

This works fine, except there are four links at the top of the menu that I don't need. It's not a deal breaker, but if possible like to remove them or at least move them to the bottom of the list. Is that possible?

Hi richard191, there is no built-in way to remove those menu items. Also, add-ons can't remove those items.

It is possible to hide them using a community-supported workaround, which is to create a userChrome.css file with style rules that target those specific menu items. I have an example of how that works on my page here --

https://www.userchrome.org/what-is-userchrome-css.html#hidemenuitem

-- but that example doesn't cover the specific items you want to hide.

We can lay out the steps for this if you're interested.

Thanks so much for that, jscher2000

I'll follow that link and try to work out how I can use it to my case.

You can use the Browser Toolbox to get selectors for items. Th biggest challenge is usually to hide the menu separators as well.

Note that there is a menu item in the three dot menu to disable pop-up auto-hide.

Thanks cor-el . I'll give that a try as well. Another opportunity to learn.
