Firefox is completely crashing my pc
Certain web pages will crash my pc entirely I would provide a link however I crash immediately upon opening the page one example is a link on msn.ca called " jay Leno's green garage " ...
if I open the link in a new tab WITHOUT viewing the page it's fine . as soon as I click the tab to view the page my pc will immediately shut down and restart
This happened
A few times a week
== no idea , but it crashes everytime it does not like the web page , wich is , at times , every 5-10 minutes

notice the Java Console is off , I turned this off myself awhile ago to troubleshoot the problem , it still crashes either on or off
I've done some hardware troubleshooting , did some memory tests , some video tests everything seems to come out clean .. However .. the windows 7 performance calculator also crashes my pc but I can run just cause 2 , splinter cell conviction all on the highest settings and smooth as can be
could it be a processor problem ? I ran the AMD Overdrive and did some stress tests those all run clean as does 3D Mark .
I also thought maybe it was a PSU problem since this is a newly built pc , but there is no sure way to test that without buying a multimeter first .
in conclusion ... I haven't got the slightest idea What the... is going on but I'm narrowing it it down to Firefox , my processor being faulty , or my PSU .
Video sites like the msn news videos , everytime I click one it says the video does not exists , I found it odd when this started happening to almost EVERY video link I clicked from there front page could very well be them , but I find it odd that every front page news story video no longer exists ...
same with some web pages also I get a page redirect on alot of different and varied links ... might not have anything to do with the crash problem at all , just one more strange thing that's been happening on a constant basis .
maybe a virus or spyware ? I run AVAST and anti maleware , but how reliable are they really , surely not 100%
bump ;)

I have this problem with www.usps.com (unites states postal service webpage.)
got it figured out , it was the phase control in my BiostarT790 bios if you have phase control in your bios try disabling it , worked for me with no negative side effects . was not caused by firefox after all .
