I live in Oregon and whenever my msn home page loads, it shows Vancouver, WA and will not change permanently. Very annoying.

Where does your IP locates you?

I see by the link you gave me that the IP locates me in Vancouver, WA. I live in Clackamas, OR so the info for Vancouver is not relevant. I have tried changing it on the home page but it always reverts.

Changes like that are usually saved in a Cookie, are you clearing your Cookies when Firefox closes?

Yes......but it's not just when Firefox closes. It shows the wrong location right from the start, when the home page first appears..

Websites identify your location by the IP address you are using. Your Internet Service Provider gave you an IP address that is listed as being in Vancouver, WA, so websites think that's where you live. That page offers an option for you to correct that location to your real address, you use it and it saves that info in a Cookie so it knows your correct location for future visits to that website - but you delete that cookie.

If you would save that particular cookie, that website wouldn't forget your location once you correct it.
