Changing the Firefox version is not an option, as this is what the company uses. Tried about:config and changed several options as indicated in other posts to no avail. Tried SmoothWheel which did nothing either. I'm looking for a new avenue to try. Just found another Customer who does not have this same problem and he is running the same version of Windows 7 and firefox, but a different ThinkPad laptop. Any help at all would be great. Thanks!

Please click Help | Check For Updates and update to at least v3.6.17

A number of issues were fixed in later versions and yours may be one of them.

I noticed that your Adobe Reader installation is out of date which exposes your machine to exploits. See http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb11-08.html

Update via http://get.adobe.com/reader/?promoid=BUIGO

If the problem persists, do the following:

  1. Click Help | Restart with Add-ons disabled.

  2. In the next menu which appears, checkmark: "Reset toolbars and Controls".

  3. Finally, click the button called "Make changes and restart".
