If your helpdesk allows Firefox, they really need to allow Flash updates for the Firefox plugin.

If you download the Flash plugin installer and try to install it outside the browser, does that work any better?

Windows 7 (64-bit)
Flash Player 11 for Other Browsers (64-bit)

Before hitting download, make sure to uncheck the box for the tag-along software of the day to avoid complicating things.
