The ordinary version of no-script is one of the most popular of the officially hosted Firefox add-ons https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noscript/?src=search You should have no problem uninstalling that. Some users have a problem because security software is preventing changes, that could be a problem on your system, but tends to be less likely on a Mac than MS PCs.
