Hi,

I have retained my FAVOURITES tab from when i used Windows .I prefer this tab to my bookmarks because i can SCROLL the favourites ,which i cannot do with my bookmarks. How can i transfer my current bookmarks to my existing FAVOURITES and also add any future sites to that tab instead of the bookmarks tab.

Thanking you,

Lynne

In Firefox:
Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks -> Import & Backup - Export Bookmarks to HTML.

Then in IE:
File > Import/Export - Import from a file

Hi,

Thank you for the reply, but i am struggling after the "Export to HTML". As a beginner i'm unfamiliar as to how to access the Internet Explorer File>Import/Export-Import from a file.

Thanks.

Lynne

IE's menu bar may be hidden. Does the second section of this support article help?

If IE is hiding the Menu bar (File, Edit, View, etc), hit the Alt key to temporarily show the Menu bar (just like in Firefox).

Dear Edmeister,

Thanks for your reply, however,i am still having difficulties with the above problem. I now have my current bookmarks in a document folder, but it doesn't allow me to transfer them to my "favourites"tab. I also cannot add new websites to the "favourites"tab.Instead, another"bookmarks"tab is created next to the afore mentioned tab.

I would just like to remove my original "bookmarks" tab,(after transferring the saved websites on it,to my "favourites") and then on all future occasions when i would like to retain a webpage,to be able to add it to the "favourites" tab only. The reason i would prefer to do it this way,is that the "favourites" has a useful scrolling facility ,which the "bookmarks"does not.

I hope you can unjumble the problem for me.I apologise again for my current lack of knowledge on this subject-and many others related to I.T!

Yours sincerely,

Lynne Sherratt
