I did have that Problem...So what I did was load this add-on. Moved the URl Box to the the menu bar (has large monitor)

You can resize the address bar by taking your mouse pointer at the separator bar that separates addressbar and seachbar.

Does it has effect you you position the search bar right next to the location/address bar or temporarily move it to the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list (right-click the search engine: Move to Menu)?

Note that this can be caused by extensions that show variable data on the Navigation Toolbar, so if you notice any that behave like this then try to place them after the search bar.

Note that you can easily remove items from the Navigation Toolbar to the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list and back again via the right-click context menu. If you right-click a toolbar item in normal (non-customize) mode then you can remove this item from the toolbar.

• "Remove from Toolbar" will remove this item from the Navigation Toolbar and moves it to the Customize palette ("3-bar" Firefox menu button > Customize)
• "Move to Menu" will move this item to the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list
• "Move to Toolbar" in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list will move this item to the toolbar

the length of the search bar can be adjusted, and address bar is shortened correspondingly.

However the question does not lie here. The question is when addons are many, addon icons squeeze. If you customize, they will behave for a while (stand in a row, as firefox 30 screenshot), but after restart, they squeeze again!
