Weather.com data updates on a timely basis when I use Chrome. There is something wrong with the settings for Firefox that have happened in the last 3 months. The weather.com data in Firefox does not update for 1-3 days. Example, I load my default location and get a forecast that is a couple of days old. Even after I refreshed Firefox, though they (weather.com in Firefox and in Chrome) start at the same point. The weather.com in Chrome keeps current. The one in Firefox is frozen at the time when I refreshed.

I don't know if it is a plugin conflict, a flash issue. I'm not knowledgable to figure it out. I suspect that I could delete all the plugins and add them back one at a time.

Could it be a syncing issue? I tried unsyncing my account. I have a computer that I use for traveling every 6 months. That's the only reason that I sync.

Thanks for any suggestions - even if it's the start at zero plugins suggestion.

I was able to delete just the weather.com cookies. That changed the time from Sunday @ 7:00 am to Monday @ 4:30 pm (It is now 10:30 pm). So a step in the right direction. Chrome still shows the correct time 10:30. Then I changed the bookmark properties. That might be the solution. It is something screwy with weather.com as no other website does it. I prefer Firefox to Chrome, so I'm glad that it's working again.

Thanks for your help.

I am confident that its the cookie that is stored when you visit the site. I might recommend clearing cookies on exit, but this feature is all sites or no sites.

First try this: Clear cookies and site data in Firefox

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.

If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

I appreciate your suggestion. I will keep a copy in my documents. I tried a rifle shot. In case that doesn't work, I might try this more robust approach. Thanks for helping me learn more about Firefox.
