Instagram Browsing and Firefox

This happens every time, but after I've been on my browswer for a long session, or even if I'm just browsing someone's instagram page and am scrolling down, the graphics of the browser mess up completely. Sometimes the browser screen goes black, and this can sometimes be partially corrected by minimizing the window, but it never goes back to normal. Most of the time I have to close out my session entirely, which can be very annoying. When the browser graphics don't completely blink out and I'm able to see the refresh icon I refresh, but then often the the picture doesn't show and you get the broken-picture icon.

This has happened to me on multiple operating systems on multiple computers, and seems to be an error in how Firefox renders graphics. Anyone else have this problem? Are there any simple fixes to this?

Hello,

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.

You will need to restart Firefox for this to take effect so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

Then perform these steps:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and select Options on Windows or Preferences on Mac or Linux.
  2. Select the Advanced panel and then the General tab.
  3. Uncheck Use hardware acceleration when available.
  4. Restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

If the problem is resolved, you should check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in these Knowledge base articles:

Thank you.

No, this did not help. I'm responding back, because it's happening again, right now. The graphics in the browser just go haywire after so many pictures.

I understand that the graphics are still going haywire, and I am sorry to hear that hardware acceleration did not help and that its happening again. Did this also happen when you troubleshooted the extensions and themes?
