Hi, after the latest big windows update (1709 fall creators update) firefox keeps asking me to install the media feature pack, as it's needed after every major update. So, i installed the correct version but firefox keep asking me for it. The update can't be uninstalled so i can't try and re-install it.

56.0.2 is not supported and a security risk. You will be Force Updated.

uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: this should be Pinned and run weekly, if never done below expect 10's of gigs) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.2 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Flash Player Version: 28.0.0.126 Current Version This Date. https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Not sure of if run the N version or not. October. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4039813/media-feature-pack-for-windows-10-n-october-2017 Try the Virtual Assistant and see if can get anywhere with that.

Why can not Media Feature Pack be uninstalled ?

Settings : Update & Security then Show Installed Updates. Then Delete updates. Delete the Media Player stuff. Uninstall Firefox as was Directed with deleting it's folders after uninstall.

Install from the link with the Full version Installer then put back the Media.

Why do you even need that ? I do not not......
