How to save/download any web page to PDF file directly without using any 3rd party browser extension?

more options

I am using Mozilla Firefox v59.0.2(64 bit) in Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. In Google Chrome and Opera Browser, I can save/download any web page to PDF without using 3rd party browser addon because this option is provided in "print dialogue" option(showing in screenshot) and best think is PDF is looking clean(no ads or banner included in PDF file). But this feature is not available in Firefox.

FF isn't in the business of Printer driver options. Those options come from 3rd party software aka Adobe Acrobat that install the printer option to PDF or another software that does similar. You can't ask FF to do something they don't do. It open PDF files but doesn't print as that requires software drivers to configure to print to PDF file.

I have not seen this feature of saving webpage as a pdf requested very often over the years on here and at the independent forums.mozillazine.org so if somebody wanted it then they could install a related Extension on Firefox.

Why don't you want to use an extension? There are different approaches: some use a built-in function to convert the print view to PDF in the background, while others send the page or its URL to a web-based service. The second type definitely creates privacy concerns, but what about the first type?

This post is several months old now, but to give you a flavor: https://discourse.mozilla.org/t/so-many-pdf-converters/20193

As for why this is not exposed in the menus or in print preview or in the print dialog, I don't know.

While that functionality is not built in to Firefox, it is built in to modern operating systems. It looks like you're using Windows 7, so try the instructions in the following article:

Thanks to everyone to provide your valuable suggessions, I post this question because there are 2 different technical reasons. 1st I installed "save as pdf" addon from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/save-as-pdf/?src=search and I converted and saved some web pages in PDF file, but the problem is some ads and banners are appearing in PDF file, may be that fault of add-on service. 2nd reason is team Mozilla officially provided this feature in latest stable Android version of Firefox, I saved some web pages in PDF file, and good think is PDF is looking clean and sharp(no ads or banner included) even, when I enable "request desktop site". I know that many users already posted this issue but may be non of them have good reason, and team Mozilla can provide any special addon that support "web to PDF" function clearly, but currently not available. If Firefox requires additional setup to perform this action, then I will setup, but need some help. Not only for me, but for many users that searching this issue.

Hi GauravSahare27, that's one of the add-ons that uses a web-based service for conversion. Please try one of the other ones I mentioned in my post from October (linked earlier).
