I cannot receive emails, possibly due to server settings. When I go to Tools/Account Settings instead of the list in the left hand column I get a window that just lists my main account name and a drop down menu giving me the option of opening a new account or opening a chat account, etc. I cannot get into the individual accounts to check the server settings. I have attached a screenshot of this window (which is taking a long time to load, so it may not come through. I suppose I could add New Accounts for the accounts that I seem to have lost, but I'm concerned that I might lose the existing emails curently in the boxes for the existing accounts.

Why would the window open up instead of the usual Account Setting column? Can I get rid of it and get back into the normal Tools menu? Should I set up new accounts with the old account names and then delete the old accounts?

That window appears to have been collapsed. Can you drag its bottom edge downwards to enlarge it?

What it is showing is normally named Local Folders. This is a so-called "Special Account" and so won't show any connection settings for that cox.net email address.

I don't why people fiddle with things that they don't understand. Anyone who renames Local Folders would appear not to have taken on board why it is there. So changing its name seems most unwise to me.

to get to my newsgroup, I must enter my username and password. what happened to Account Settings under Tool tab. This is very frustrating.

I see no Accounts Actions shown under Tools tab. I am really disappointed that I can not get to my newsgroup as before. Must be able to enter my username and password. Why would you change this feature. Can not use Accounts Settings under View tab.
