I am using Firefox 60.0.1. Today, I was unable to get to my banking information using Firefox. I could using Internet Explorer and I don't want to do that. I am also using Windows 7 since windows 10 crashes my computer. On my banking site, I can type in my login information and then I got to the redirection screen (Firefox has prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page and below it is says please wait and there is an allow button). I click allow and I get the authorization stuff and then it stops. It says it gets to a welcome screen but the page is just white.

Any idea what is going on? I looked at the FAQs that came up but I didn't know what they were saying. I really don't want to use IE 11 for my banking.

I don't know what I did but it now works. What I did was I used Mozbackup to back everything on Firefox up. This is after reading everything about it. I found the troubleshooting information under the help tab. I then opened troubleshooting information. I first tried to restart with no addons. That didn't work. I then refreshed Firefox. The important thing about Mozbackup is that it keeps passwords and bookmarks. Those are the important things for me. After refreshing Firefox, I tried to get into my financial institution. It worked. I then used Mozbackup again to restore the addons, passwords, bookmarks, and everything that was backed up. It still worked.

I still don't know what was wrong but going to the basic state then going back worked.

In Firefox 56+ the "Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page" setting can no longer be found in Options/Preferences.

You can modify this pref on the about:config page to enable or disable this feature
