Address bar size
Is there any way to adjust the size of the address bar in firefox for android? It is silly to have that tiny little box with things I don't use like voice search and QR code search taking up so much room.
Also, many sites seem to display in desktop mode in FF when other browsers properly show them in mobile view. Toggling desktop view doesn't fix it.

You likely have changed the Android display settings of your phone to its smallest setting. This forces Firefox into its tablet mode.

To remove the voice input icon from the address bar, go to:
menu > Settings > Accessibility
Then turn off Voice input.
I don't know why you have a QR button in the address bar. Could it be from an add-on??
Regarding desktop view, does your device have an unusually high screen resolution, so that sites with a responsive layout might naturally switch to a more desktop-like layout? This page should tell you what kind of resolution is being detected on your device:
No add-ons bit the toggle the barcode scanner search was right next to the voice search disable. Better but still a Tony little address bar. I can live with that.
For the resolution that site is saying 1440 x 2418 as the true resolution. I think the issue is that it is reporting the user string as "Mozilla/5.0 (Android 9; Tablet; rv:61.0) Gecko/61.0 Firefox/61.0"
My phone is a pixel XL. Big phone with a moderately high resolution. Could it be that because of that Firefox is reporting it as a tablet and that is why it is getting served sites like that?
What does the Resolution page report as your "device pixel ratio"? On a full HD screen it's usually 3, which results in a reported resolution of 640x360. Firefox has a preference in about:config to change the device pixel ratio.
Otherwise, it's possible to change the type from "Tablet" to "Mobile", but unless there's an easy method I don't know about, it's a rather involved...

Winner! I had no idea A) That I changed that way back when I first got my phone and B) that it changed the layout off the app so much.
This is so much more usable now.
Thanks!
