privacy and tracking by cookies
Since a few weeks only whenever you start browsing on any browser, a window opens asking you to agree or refuse the settings for tracking by cookies etc. Does this procedure annulate myown prefenrences settings?
Most of the people don't care about that and tired of being harrassed just agree to all trackings and cookies. But I don't want to be tracked and my preferences settings are all personnalised and quite strict on what I agree and what I don't agree.
So if firefox asks me to agree before I'm allowed to browse, and I agree to all of the tracking, does this annulate my privacy settings in the parametres?
Please give me an answer to [email]@gmail.com or call me +[phone number]
Or on this forum?

No, that's what i forgot to say. of course it is primary to any website you open! So if I agree to all of their settings ,does that mean that it annulates the firefox settings? How is it possible that every website is allowed to do so?
As far as I know, websites cannot change your Firefox settings. Giving or denying a site consent using a button in the page will always be limited by your Tracking Protection, Cookie, and History settings.

Or on protonmail also!
Never seen such a window on startup. I don't think that it's our window.

Depending on the laws applicable to those websites, they may be required to provide cookie notification or obtain cookie consent from you when you visit. Ironically, they probably remember that they already asked you about this by setting a cookie or by creating a local storage item in the browser. If you clear cookies and site data, then they will think you are a new visitor and ask you again. It's a bit of nightmare, no?
I don't know whether this extension will help you. I haven't tried it myself.

(I have a large enough screen that these notifications/requests usually don't cover very much of the page so I often just ignore them.)
