In my firefox (up to date) I've started getting errors that google is not connecting, or emails opens blank, or drive opens a blank screen, or classroom assignments open a blank window.

A friend suggested that I use a private tab, and everything works if I use a private tab.

Helps please.

Some add-ons are not active when using Private Windows.

Start Firefox using Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Troubleshoot(Safe) Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

I've tried both refreshing firefox and troubleshoot (safe) mode, but the problem keeps happening. All other sites work perfectly fine.

Can we see the issue? Just post a full browser screenshot.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox for a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History -> Show All History" or "View -> Sidebar -> History").

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox for this domain like history and cookies and passwords and exceptions and cache, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data for that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of involved files.

If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data for that website will be saved once again.

Since most of my google account is confidential, I cannot post an entire screen shot. I've uploaded three images. The first is my gmail not responding, it tells me that it can't reach the server, but I'm connected and browsing on all other sites. The second picture is a link I opened from my gmail, I was connected and browsing when I tried to open the link. The third picture is my google classroom, it just cycles, but never opens or it completely cycles, but nothing is there. This is an intermittent issue, I have this problem on my personal laptop (when working from home or work) and work desktop. Also, I am signed into firefox, so my browsers are synced. This is also not affecting my coworkers (they are using chrome... ewww). I do not have this issue at all in private tabs.

Any third party cookies being blocked? see screenshot

I'm sorry, I forgot to respond to that. No third party cookies are being blocked.

Have you upgraded the browser to see if that helps?

My browser is up to date, I tried updating it just in case. It did not solve the problem.

Here is another partial screenshot of my gmail freezing, while everything else is connected and browsing.

You can check the connection settings.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":

I tried changing the proxy settings like you suggested, but unfortunately google and it's pages still freeze.

Just before this problem started happening, I had synced my mozilla browser at school to my browser at home. When I remembered that I had done that, I signed out of my mozilla on my school desktop browser. Since I signed out, Google and it's pages still freeze, but not nearly as often as they had been. Any more suggestions?
