Neither of these are a solution. See the image of PDF that I printed. Note that headers and footers are smack up against the edge of the paper. The 1/2-inch margins applied to the page affect the text--NOT the header and footer. I want to indent the header and the footer the SAME as the TEXT. In other words, the headers and footers should all have a 1/2-inch margin--same as text.

Where does this say that I can change the indent of the headers/footers INDEPENDENTLY of the the text/or rest of page?

Maybe I'm blind, but I see no adjustments for header/footer indents--just the page text.

There are 4 preferences related to the margins which hidden in about:config .

Type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter.
If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Filter = print.print_unwriteable_margin

Thanks very much. This fixed the problem, although it was the "...print_edge_.." that fixed it in the config file. Now I'm not printing off the edge any longer. (I'm running PostScript.) I will make the adjustment in my Ubuntu Linux and XP systems as well. Would you consider adding this adjustment in the page setup dialog box along with the margins?
