Firefox mobile beta filling up storage?

I've recently updated to the latest Firefox Beta for Android, and have had the problem that it starts filling up my phone's internal storage.

I've installed it on the SD card, so when I first start it's using 1.5MB for "Application" and a few kb for "Data". But with a bit of use it seems to quickly climb to 20-30MB, causing the "low storage" message.

Any idea how I can tell what data is causing this?

I've noticed just now that it's gone down to ~13MB by itself - but previously I've had to clear data (and restore bookmarks etc.) to get it sensible again.

I haven't noticed it being this bad on previous versions (on either Aurora or Beta before).

Regards,

jugglerchris

Could this be because you are using lots of sites? The cache could be filling up fast...

It could be, but how can I tell if it is or not? And if it is, what can I do to stop it happening or at least clear the cache without throwing out my bookmarks etc.?

That's prompted me to try about:cache, which does indeed list 10MB worth of stuff. I'll check that next time it seems to have ballooned. If it is the problem, it looks like I'll be able to tweak browser.cache.disk.capacity in about:config.

i have the same problem, but the cache is limited to 10 MB and the data grows to 30MB nevertheless.

i have 3 plugins installed: - adblock plus - startpage search - delete cookies on exit

when i uninstall them it frees about mb each.

i have a lot of free space (about 30GB) on my sdcard, but only 200MB interal memory .. it would be nice to have an option to put the data there or do it automaticaly when the app is moved to sdcard.
