Hello,

Like what the title says, every single time I try to open any website, it has to go through a painfully annoying cycle of errors. I have to hold F5, yes, hold F5 to have a 50:50 chance of loading a website without any errors.

While this is true for the three browsers I have (Edge, Chrome, and Firefox Dev Edition), Firefox cannot seem to load the pages without me hitting or holding F5 enough. There are websites that Firefox fail to load entirely, while the other browsers do just fine.

For example!

In Chrome, when the similar issue happens (it was uncommon some months ago), I just need to switch out and back into the loading tab for it to successfully display the page. Sometimes hit F5 a couple of times.

In Firefox, it stops loading the page entirely. I have to hold F5 for at least a few seconds, sometimes a full minute just so the site will start to respond to my sent requests. When the site does load, it looks like broken HTML, plain white background with blue links and Times New Roman.

In Edge, it's more or less like Chrome, just a bit slower.

As for my plugins, I use a basic Adblock, NoScript (which has been shut-off as a result of the annoyance), and WOT.

I haven't found any similar issues regarding this, so hopefully someone might be able to figure this puzzle out. Thanks in advance, have a good day.

@side-topic I am inquiring about my ISP's problematic bandwidth since I use a wireless connection. But my phones and tablets don't share the same issue, as well as my laptop. Could it be a configuration mess-up?

Hello,

It looks like your problem is that your internet connection is slow, and that's why the pages load so slow and so poorly.

To make sure, try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem is still there. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click Help Help-29 and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.

If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".

SafeMode-Fx35

To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.

If web pages continue to load poorly in Safe Mode, it's likely to be a problem with your internet connection and not with your browser.

Hi,

I test my other devices daily for the connection. From video streaming to basic web browsing. As stated above, it doesn't share the same issues.

No such errors regarding my bandwidth if I use my phone or tablet, or laptop.

My guess that the DNS is very buggy at the moment.

Have you tried Same Mode yet?
