I would like to copy an email saved in my sent file and edit it to create a new email. Easy enough but it was originally sent to a long list of people as BCCs. I would like to retain these addresses when copying the original message and send the new email to them. How do I do this? Everything I've tried strips out the BCCs when copying the message to an new email.

What have you tried?

Edit As New and Reply to All both seem to work for me with the copy in my Sent folder.

I would prefer Edit As New since it genuinely creates a new message; reply would keep a link to the previous message, which may not be appropriate.

But you're not supposed to see the other Bcc addressees. How come you have such a list?

Ah, OK, I get it. It's a copy of a message you sent previously.

AHA! Now I see. When I Reply All or Edit As New the BCC addresses are being put onto individual fields that can be scrolled through instead of in a single block divided by commas as in the original email. I just wasn't seeing them.

Thank you.

comma separation is something Microsoft do with their mail programs. Thunderbird has rudimentary support, but is is not a good idea to use it as everything is designed around those scrollable boxes..
