New computer firefox opens and immediately goes to a google error page

On a new computer, when I open firefox it goes to my homepage but immediately opens a new page which says Google 401. That’s an error.

Error: deleted_client

The OAuth client was deleted. Request Details

That’s all we know.

Does not happen on any other computers

Type about:config<enter> in the address bar. If a warning screen comes up, press the Be Careful button. At the top of the screen is a search bar. Type browser.startup.homepage

What is the value? Right-click and select Reset to restore its default value; about:home

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked.

Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Clear the cache":

  • Firefox -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Network -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Firefox -> Preferences -> Privacy -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"

It might just be an obsolete/broken page, but I'm a little bit worried about that message.
