Let’s do a full clean re-install;

Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}

Save the file. Then Close Firefox.

Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86)

Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-firefox-mac

Linux: Check your user manual. If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it. See Install Firefox on Linux; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux

If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder Firefox in your home directory. http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Look for, and remove any Mozilla or Firefox program folders. Do not remove the Mozilla Thunderbird folder if there is one.

Do Not remove the profiles folder.

After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner if you have one. Then run the installer. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If there is a problem, start your Computer in safe mode and try again.

Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? Error messages?

The problem is that the process firefox.exe doesn't start and it register an error message in the events log console of Windows 10, as i described in my original post. It seems it's a problem with xul.dll.

Sorry to hear about this problem. This data is not very specific, so it's hard to say what is causing the problem:

Error event name:	APPCRASH
Application info:	firefox.exe
Application version:	59.0.1.6648
Error module name:	xul.dll
Error module version:	59.0.1.6648
Exception code:		c0000005
Exception offset:	0000000000c75366

According to results of a web search, the exception code could be an Access Violation, where xul.dll is attempting to access memory that it isn't supposed to touch.

Do you use any security software that may affect Firefox's access to memory? One program that is sometimes mentioned is EMET, a Microsoft tool to help protect Windows.

In my organization we've deployed EMET. I've stopped EMET_Agent and tried again to start Firefox and it didn't, it still registers the same error event. Is there any option in "Firefox.exe" to enable additional log that it register during startup to help us find the origin of the problem?

Thanks for your effort to help us.

Firefox can log its HTTP traffic, but I don't think you're getting far enough for that process to start. You could try it just in case: https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Mozilla/Debugging/HTTP_logging

I'm going to link to a thread about potential 64-bit driver problems in case that might be relevant: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1206330
