I have tried repeatedly, following Firefox's instructions to remove Encrypt search as a search engine. It is terrible! I want google. Even when I select google only Encrypt is used. Please help me get rid of Encrypt forever!

Elaine

Hi Elaine,

Your system details show that the nuisance is installed in  :
Options => Add-ons => Extensions, so , removing it there is the first thing you should do. And look for any other unfamilar or suspicious looking extensions as well. Do the same in Windows Control Panel.

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. They all work differently - what one program doesn't pick up, the other might.
