When I recreated the account connection to att at the crash, it did not keep the saved folders & emails that appear to be under Thunderbird/Profiles/.../Mail/pop.att.yahoo.com/Inbox.sbd without being under Thunderbird/Profiles/.../Mail/inbound.att.net. How do I restore those folders and emails under Inbox or Local, or change my profile to use them?

is you new ATT account set up as IMAP? If so then I suggest you use the import export tools to "import" the contents of the old folder to your local folders in Thunderbird.

Note you have to create a folder to receive the import before you start and it must be selected. The appropriate import would be mbox.
