I know Firefox has 'Search [default search engine's name] for "[selected text]"' in context menus for text selections. Is this feature bound to a key combination?

Hmm, I don't remember one. If you are right handed, it might be convenient to use this (with the relevant text selected):

  • right-click
  • tap s with your left hand
