Downloaded Thunderbird on Widows 10 PC. Attempted to set up account on att.net/Yahoo email. It automatically found inbound/outbound settings etc. but would not connect. Got the configuration, password or whatever error message. 4 hrs researching and looking for support help. Nada. Windows Mail works, for what little it offers. Passwords are correct. Seems since ATT split from Yahoo mail, Win Live Mail was discontinued and “Currently AT&T” is the operating entity, things are less than ideal. Was hoping Mozilla Thunderbird would be the answer.

Solved. Yes, creating and using the secure key at MYATT worked. My problem was I couldn't delete my old secure key, so it would not accept a new secure key. Waited a day, and the next time I signed into ATT, I WAS able to delete the old key. Creating a new key was straightforward, and Thunderbird signed right in. Thanks.
