When enhanced tracking protection is on (android devices) it is very slow loading pages. With it off is quicker.

Hi Peter

What version number of Firefox for Android do you have installed?

Do you have any add-ons installed?

What is the address of the website where this happens?

Hello! Can you try clearing cookies for a website and see if it's still slow there? Clear cookies and website data for a single domain in Firefox for Android

Did the clear cookies and on reload it was still very slow. I am using the standard Firefox from store not the one marked Firefox for Android Beta. By contrast Edge loads the website quickly.

FF works better if enhanced protection is OFF.

Hi, you can try to clear all your Firefox cookies, cache, and history. Besides that also remove the add-on if you have installed it in your Firefox. After using Firefox for some time, it can start to use a lot of your \ RAM. To find the cause of the slowdown, first try starting Firefox in Safe Mode. This will make Firefox run without any add-ons or plugins. To use Safe Mode, go to the menu in Firefox and choose Help > Restart With Add-ons Disabled. Make sure you've updated to the latest version of Firefox by clicking on the three-line menu at the top-right of the screen and choosing Help > About Firefox.

I heard from a former Firefox developer, he has stated that the antivirus might be causing the Firefox to run slow. He recommends disabling all the antivirus programs aside from your default antivirus.
