Hi there, I got the following virus alert from McAfee after doing a quick scan: JTI/Suspect.196612!0f6afa0fe6d5

FileLocation: C:\program files\Mozilla Firefox\AccessibleMarshal.ddl

I then completely uninstalled Mozilla Firefox from my computer including all data etc. . I then did another scan and there was no virus alert. So I then reinstalled Firefox and did another scan and I got the same virus alert as above. I then uninstalled Firefox again and once again when I scanned the computer there was no virus alert.

I have been chatting with mcafee support and they said the .ddl file has a vulnerability. do you know anything about this?

It would be a hot topic here if that was indeed the case.

False positive likely as did you make sure you have the most current definitions update in mcafee?

I meant to give Dropa "a thumbs up" . Don't know what I was doing there!

So it must be a false positive. Mcafee is uptodate but I will reinstall it and see what happens.

thanks to Dropa, and John

Like I mentioned I have Defender which is free since you already own Windows 10 and is part of the O/S when installed and you don't have to pay to use it. I have no trouble with it using on all my Windows 10 computers.
